Busy Professionals, Take Note: How Mindful Coffee Brewing Brought Serenity to My Hectic Morning

I’ll admit it, I was overwhelmed this morning — until the simple act of making coffee grounded me in a way I never anticipated.
A Rough Morning Start
This morning started out very hectic. I woke up much later than usual and faced two tasks on my morning agenda that I normally enjoy:
- Morning Pages — Part of The Artist’s Way course that helps clear my mind.
- Ship 30 Writing — A cohort I joined to practice daily writing, aiming to start my newsletter.
Instead of tackling one of these tasks, I chose to read my emails, leading me to think, “Why did I do that?” Now, I found myself with a scattered mind before my day had really begun.

Seeking respite, I turned to a simple, yet profound practice: mindfulness. It began with making a cup of coffee, but not in a hurried manner.
